If you’re looking to add clients to your roster or maintain your existing roster, we’ve got good news and bad news. The good news: only 28% to 48% of clients are loyal to their current provider. The bad news: only 28% to 48% of clients are loyal to their current provider.

So, where does that leave you? Are your clients loyal? Or can they be snatched up by a competitor? When RainToday surveyed B2B buyers of professional services in 2009, we found that depending on service area a whopping 52% to 72% of buyers would consider switching providers in 2009 and 2010.

The chart below shows how likely buyers are to switch providers, by service area: management consulting, IT consulting/services, marketing/advertising/PR, training, architecture/engineering/construction, HR consulting, accounting/financial services, and legal services. We tagged those buyers who indicated they definitely or probably will not switch as “Loyals” (dark blue, below); those who would definitely, probably, or might/might not switch are tagged “Switchers” (light blue, below).
